Tourna Cross String Protectors
Tourna Cross string protectors are designed to be installed between the strings of a tennis racket. They are used in places where the strings rub against each other the most — most often in the central part of the hitting area. This helps to reduce string fraying and extend its lifespan.
This practical accessory is especially useful for players who frequently break strings, play with spin, or use thinner strings, multifilaments, or natural gut strings. The small elements placed between the strings reduce friction during impact, causing the strings to wear out more slowly in the most stressed areas.
The protectors can be applied only in the sweet spot or over a larger area of the stringbed, depending on where the strings most often fray. The set includes an applicator to facilitate precise placement of the elements between the strings.
