Babolat approached the matter in a slightly different way. The new RPM Soft has a three-layer construction. Each layer provides a specific benefit.
3 LAYERS FOR 3 BENEFITS
Comfort
Instead of using stiff polyester, RPM Soft has a core made of flexible polyamide. This achieved flexibility providing an unprecedented pleasure of play in polyester strings.
Durability
To maintain the appropriate durability typical of the RPM family, Babolat used a mono-core construction. This means that instead of many small fibers connected into one whole, we simply have one piece of polyamide additionally surrounded by a durable coating with aramid powder.
Spin
The entire string is covered with a slippery silicone, which allows the strings to move freely during impact. This creates what Babolat engineers call the snap-back effect - an instant return of the strings to their place, which generates additional spin.

This is how the RPM Soft string was created, offering an ideal composition of spin typical of the RPM line, comfort similar to multifilament strings, and the durability of monofilament constructions.

RPM Soft is available in 1.25 and 1.30 mm gauges and in lengths: 12 m set and 200 m reel. The string color is "radiant sunset," which is orange with a metallic sheen.
