Head Extreme 2026 PRO Tennis Racket (305g)

The Head Extreme PRO 2026 is the most precise and demanding offering in the Extreme family, designed for advanced and tournament players who want to combine high spin, stability, and offensive power with the control characteristic of a 98 in² head size.

Its 305 g weight, 315 mm balance, and relatively thin frame profile ensure solid handling during a fast swing, while the open 16 × 19 string pattern allows for the full potential of topspin. The Extreme PRO rewards decisive racket acceleration and good technique, offering in return a heavy ball, stability, and very good directional control.

Extreme for players who want more control

The 98 in² / 630 cm² head size provides more direct contact with the ball than larger models in the Extreme series. It allows for more precise stroke execution, especially during fast-paced play from the baseline, changes of direction, and aggressive attacking of shorter balls.

The 305g weight increases stability upon contact with a powerful shot, and the 315mm balance shifted towards the handle helps maintain appropriate maneuverability during swing preparation and quick net play.

Designed for heavy topspin

The Extreme series has long been associated with spin play, and in the 2026 version, this characteristic has been further enhanced. The open 16 × 19 string pattern provides ample string movement and promotes the snapback effect, making it easier to impart heavy topspin on the ball.

However, the Extreme PRO is not limited to spin alone. The smaller head and thinner profile mean that the racket also responds well to flatter, more aggressive shots. This is a particularly interesting configuration for a player who builds points with topspin but wants the option to finish rallies with faster, more direct shots.

Hy-Bor – greater stability and a more solid hit

One of the most important changes in the 2026 generation is the introduction of Hy-Bor technology. This aerospace-grade material has been used in the racket's shaft construction to increase perceived stability during the swing and to give the ball contact a more solid and compact feel.

This solution works particularly well with the PRO model's characteristics, which aim to provide advanced players with confidence during high-tempo rallies while maintaining the power and spin potential of the Extreme series.

Auxetic 2.0 – better feel for ball contact

Auxetic 2.0 technology uses a specially designed structure that responds to the stresses generated during impact. Its purpose is to provide more direct feedback and a better feel for the moment the ball contacts the string bed.

In a precision-oriented racket, this is particularly important for shots where the player controls the pace, direction, and height of the ball's flight.

Spin Grommets – greater freedom of string movement

Spin Grommets increase the range of string movement, allowing them to move more during contact with the ball. This promotes their dynamic return to their original position, which supports both the generation of spin and shot dynamics.

Combined with the 16 × 19 pattern, this solution helps utilize a fast, vertical swing and aggressively "drag" the ball across the court with a safe margin over the net.

Sound Grommets – cleaner and more comfortable feel

The Sound Grommets system further increases string mobility and affects how the racket reacts during ball contact. The design is engineered to optimize vibrations and achieve a cleaner, more pleasant hitting sensation.

22 / 23 / 21 mm Profile – greater precision in guidance

The variable frame profile of 22 / 23 / 21 mm is distinctly more control-oriented than designs typically focused on easy power. It allows for a better feel of the frame's work and gives advanced players greater ability to consciously guide the ball.

As a result, the Extreme PRO remains a dynamic and spin-friendly racket, but offers a higher level of control than lighter and larger models within the same family.

Who is the Head Extreme PRO 2026 for?

This model is primarily designed for advanced and tournament players with a full, fast swing. It is not a frame meant to maximally facilitate play – its benefits are best utilized by a player who can generate racket head speed independently.

It will particularly suit aggressive baseline players who use topspin to build an advantage, but at the same time expect stability and precision from the racket when hitting powerfully.

A precise spin racket for demanding players

The Head Extreme PRO 2026 is a model for players who want to leverage the Extreme series' characteristic spin but don't want to sacrifice the control offered by a more player-oriented frame.

The 98 in² head, 305g weight, head-light balance, and open 16 × 19 pattern create a configuration that allows for hitting a heavy, aggressive ball with high spin, while maintaining precision in fast rallies. This is the most demanding Extreme in the 2026 family – but also the model that gives advanced players the most control over their shots.
